- A postdoctoral position supported by the NIH Postdoctoral Training Grant
- is available to study meristem ontogeny and function in Arabidopsis. We
- have recently isolated a large number of Arabidopsis mutants that are
- impaired in seedling development. Three categories of mutants have been
- identified: 1) embryo pattern mutants (Mayer et al., 1991, Nature
- 353:402), 2) mutants impaired in shoot meristem development and
- function, e.g. emf (Sung et al., 1992, Science 258:1645), and 3) mutants
- impaired in root meristem development. Interested candidates should
- contact Professor Renee Sung, Department of Plant Biology, University of
- California, Berkeley, CA 94720. Tel:(510) 642-6966, Fax:(510) 642-4995.
