  11. A postdoctoral position supported by the NIH Postdoctoral Training Grant
  12. is available to study meristem ontogeny and function in Arabidopsis. We
  13. have recently isolated a large number of Arabidopsis mutants that are
  14. impaired in seedling development. Three categories of mutants have been
  15. identified: 1) embryo pattern mutants (Mayer et al., 1991, Nature
  16. 353:402), 2) mutants impaired in shoot meristem development and
  17. function, e.g. emf (Sung et al., 1992, Science 258:1645), and 3) mutants
  18. impaired in root meristem development. Interested candidates should
