- Look, Mike. This started out as a simple statement. This comparison of
- one billion per mile of freeway with 10 to 15 million per mile of light rail
- just doesn't wash. 1 billion per mile is at the upper end of freeway costs,
- while 10 - 15 million is at the low end of light rail costs. Typical costs
- are about the same, at least in Santa Clara county.
