  19. I would not be surprised if the new Century Freeway (coming soon to
  20. an LA near you!) cost close to $1 billion/mile. It has interchanges
  21. with at least three very large freeways in a fairly short distance 
  22. (maybe 10-20 miles?). Talk about big/high/expensive connecting ramps...

  24. I suspect the Century will be LA's last new freeway.

  26. Whether it's fair for Mr. Vandeman to use such numbers is a different issue.
