- I'm at the age where I'm supposed to own a home and quit running around the
- planet like I lunatic chasing good times (which I thouroughly enjoy
- doing).

- ~~~~~~~~~
- My point exactly. I am now hearing the "When I was your age" tune. It's
- starting to warp. Unless you are lucker than most, society has put us in
- debt. Madison Avenue or not. Who hasen't had a collection notice, how
- many single friends do you have that comfortably$$ own their own home here
- in Silicon Valley. How many of your friends were married for more than 10
- years before divorce? I can't stand that fact that people of an older
- generation expect us to do and be the same people and live the type of
- lifestyle that they lived!@!
-
- I'm really angry that I share my thrill of bungee jumping to my family that
- all I hear is grief. It's okay that my brother almost kills himself
- everyweek mountain biking. Didn't they understand in July when I bought my
- convertable that is was something for me that I wanted to do. I'm not in
- debt...the damn things paid for. I think they're upset that I'm having
- more fun than they did at my age -- think I'm right!?
-
- Can't Madison Ave or generations of old understand that survival goes to
- the fittest. I am not going to stand idly by why my life passes before me.
- I'm also not going to work my tail to the bone in one electronics company
- for 20 years like my mother did just to get layed off in my late 40's only
- to find that I'm not the hot commidity that I was 20 years prior. I WILL
- NOT!!
-
- What I will probably do is continue to enjoy my life, save when/where I
- can. Looking for Mr. Right is fun so I won't stop doing that. Well,
- enough complaining. I am going to be 30 next week and there's nothing I
- can do about it.
-
- I want to thank all the people who responded to my plea. I think I'm going
- to take her idea of my Wrong to meet her [any one of my ex-boyfriends would
- do it]. Then in the following weeks I will borrow friends children of
- varying age and take them to my family when I visit. I'll let you know how
- it goes.
