- Aww. that leaves us SF folks out. Anybody for hanging out
- at the Marina Safeway's produce section on Wednesday nights? ;-)

- PS: Speaking of clubs: : For those San Fran bound club-hopping fiends, there
- is a pretty cool nightclub review in the SF Comical (i mean chronicle) either
- last Tuesday or last Wednesday. It's basically saying the small neighborhood
- clubs are taking over the night scene and the big night club complexes in SoMa
- are really losing their charm (ooh. big night club complex. I wonder what Freud
- would say about that). It mentioned names like Johnny Love's, Babylon (all
- on the same block surrounded by broadway, polk, van ness, vallejo), Paragon
- (too wonderbread for me [ooops. did I make a racist remark? sorry... <grin>]),
- Cafe du Nord (now there is a cool rainbow place!), and much to my surprise,
- Mick's on Van Ness & Union. I think I wrote about Johnny Love's and Babylon
- long ago in this group... as for Micks: it was supposed to be the NEXT
- hot spot, competing with Babylon and Johnny Love's, except on its opening
- night their speaker system blew, and they had problem with sound insolation
- and their neighbors upstairs (noise level). That was a couple of months ago
- and it has not recovered from that opening night, yet, although gradually it's
- being resurrected. The chron article hinted that it would be the 'next' spot
- to watch... we'll have to see if it can recover... [I hope it stays small
- and neighborhoodsy, so I can walk a block and half to hang out there] But
- anyways, for those interested, the article has some good info. [Three stars,
- Club-Fu, Tien-Fu, academy award nomination for du nord owner for saying, "but
- when the suburbanites start to hang out at your place, that's the kiss of
- death." No breasts, 2 dead clubs, half pint of infected blood, Daid Haid says
- check it out.]
