  27. After re-reading my original posting and a couple of responses, I
  28. realized that many (if not most) readers probably mis-interpreted my
  29. request for the names of Chinese restaurants that creativly use spices
  30. for flavor in liu of MSG.  I don't like spicy "HOT" food.  I was using
  31. "spicy" in the broader context i.e. interesting flavors; not bland.

  33. I have been to Chef Chu's many times.  Like some other posters, I find
  34. the prices high and the waits long.  I continue to patronize them
  35. because I know that they don't use MSG and the food is good.  It would
  36. be nice to have a few alternatives however.

  38. If you know of any other Chinese restaurants in the
  39. Sunnyvale-Mountainview-Palo Alto-Fremont-Milpitas area that prepare
  40. good (or great) food, but NOT spicy hot, please email or post.
