- When you can get hot and sour and wonton soup at any Chinese restaurant
- you know that the restaurants have a full menu for the benefit of the
- "round eyes" who think all Chinese food look alike. :-)
-
- The advice about you have to know what to order applies to any
- Chinese restaurant. Find out the house specialties and ignore
- the rest of the menu. If the house specialties are bad, THEN
- you can say it is a bad Chinese restaurant.
-
- Saying a Cantonese restaurant is bad because they make lousy
- hot and sour soup is like saying an Italian restaurant is lousy
- because their sauerbraut was awful. Yet people here have said
- that they judge Cantonese restaurants by their hot and sour soup.
