  13. Boy...you guys are a hard crowd!  :)
  14. I didn't think the Chinese restaurants on Castro were that bad.

  16. Just one block east of Castro on Dana, (I think) is Lotus Garden.
  17. I like their Wor Mein.  Don't order Wor WonTon Mein; the wontons
  18. are tasteless.  And we ask them to make Prawns Say Jupe (that's how you pronounce it, definately not how you spell it!) over fun noodles.  
  19. Pretty good.  I like their pot stickers too.

  21. We go to Kirin for Pepper Salted Prawns, kinda french fried prawns,
  22. salty and spicey, with onions, usually not too oily.  Great with 
  23. white rice.  They've changed their decore so at least it *looks* nicer.

  25. I'll put in another vote for Hunan Gourmet.  I've only been there for
  26. dinner but it was very good.  We had this green bean dish with crumbled
  27. ground pork in it and something else that made it salty all in some sort of
  28. brown sauce.  It was memorable.  I realize the name of the dish would help,
  29. sorry.  :)

  31. And we go to Hong Kong Bakery for Dim Sum (take-out).  Great Hau-Gau,
  32. Yu-Chi Gau, and baked BBQ pork buns

  34. So.. two more questions...

  36. If Castro chinese is soooo baaaad, where *are* there good chinese 
  37. restaurants in the vicinity?

  39. And speaking of tasteless wontons, where can I get taste*ful* wontons?
