  44. The net cost to the Vic budget from the "pay rises" was minus $1m
  45. yup it was a pay cut. Of course it looks better if you only talk
  46. about the 8 that got rises not the 120 that lost in the changes.

  60. The dole stuff is no longer true, and your "softer" GST
  61. line seems to indicate that you should know this.
  62. Even the 9 months thing was a furphy, it just meant that the
  63. people out of a job for more than 9 months would need to
  64. go to a more stringently monitored program. It was dumped
  65. once people like you managed to convince enough Australians
  66. that the long term unemployed would be dumped onto the scrap heap.

  84. rendering them useless, sounds like Jeff K is a green.

  97. leave the public school system for the disadvantaged, that
  98. would solve lots of funding problems, how about that good
  99. old socialist maxim of "to each according to need", surely
  100. the parents of all the public school children can't be so
  101. impoverished that they can't afford to pay their way.
  102. Why are so many of the kids in the North Shore dropped off
  103. to school in such utilitarian vehicles as Volvos and Mercs?
