  51. Any people in Australia who have read the above add better remember about 
  52. AUSTEL approval.  Any modems connect to any public Telecommunications 
  53. network in Australia (Telecom or others)  need to be AUSTEL approved.  If they
  54. are not then the person connecting and using the modem is breaking various
  55. federal laws, and is open for prosecution under the Telecommunications act.

  57. Please ensure, before purchasing from any mail order shop in the US, that the
  58. modems have been approved for use in Australia, or you will have wasted your
  59. money and risked large fines etc.
  60.  
  61. Also, considering the good quality modems made by various Australian companies,
  62. why not "By Australian" and at least help keep people in the Electronics
  63. industry here in jobs. (Not to mention the current account deficit !!)
