  15. Here is a little news off the Associated Press wire........

  17. NEW YORK--Matt Groening, creator of 'The Simpsons,' figures he can get away with
  18. his irreverence just by heaping on humor.  "I find you can get away with all
  19. sorts of unusual ideas if you present them with a smile on your face," the
  20. 38-year-old father of two said in the January issue of Spin magazine.  "When I
  21. was asked 'Where does Homer Simpson work?' I said, 'Oh, at a nuclear power
  22. plant,' and everybody laughed."  Groening, whos name rhymes with raining, lives
  23. with his wife and two sons in Venice, a beach community near Los Angeles.  He
  24. said he admires musician Frank Zappa for having no use for glamour.  "I don't
  25. care about being slick or sexy or presenting that look in my word.  A lot of
  26. people in music videos, films, and novels express themselves with a kind of
  27. sullen sexiness.  I'm much more interested in making people laugh.  I have that
  28. in common with Zappa."
