- I'll add here that the importance of posting sources and binaries to
- .patches, besides that being the proper place for them, is that people
- archive that group. If you post there, your efforts will get saved for
- posterity, and fewer people will be asking to have it mailed to them
- all the time.

- Problems like this crop up in mail and news readers all the time.
- Dillon sendmail, AmigaUUCP+ sendmail, Smail, etc. all have slightly
- different interface requirements. Anything that's going to send mail,
- including core utilities like uucico, needs to offer some
- configurability. A good example of this type of flexibility is in the
- ARN 0.72 config file. A horrible example is the Amiga port of tin. Not
- only does it want to use the AmigaUUCP postnews program with it's
- funny input format, but it needs to find it in UUCP:C! i.e. There's no
- reasonable way to use the Amiga tin binary with Cnews. Which is a
- shame, because tin would be a great newsreader to have a proper port of.

- How about being kinder and reading the format from a local env
- variable, global env variable, or config file?

- Me too. I need to make a debug version runnable from SDB to track down
- some more bugs. Or just give up and port taylor uucp.

- No, don't or it will get into alt.warlords and you'll never live it
- down. :-)
