  13. Star Ships of the Third Fleet is a great way to meet people and to be involved
  14. with the details and imagination that we all know of that is included in Star
  15. Trek.
  16.  
  17. Third Fleet is a correspondence club that is based in Santee, California and is
  18. under the direction of Fleet Admiral Kenneth Brannon.  Everyone from around the
  19. country who joins is placed on a ship and assumes a position and is given a
  20. rank.  Story lines are begun by ship captains and those story ideas are
  21. continued independently by the crew members.  On the 15th of each month, the
  22. crew is required to submit some form of a written report to their Captain. 
  23. Storylines can be developed over a period of two-four months and are eventually
  24. compiled and published for the contributors to read.

  26. Besides the ship writing work, you can also take classes at Third Fleet
  27. Academy.  Third Fleet Academy is based in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.  By the U.S.
  28. mail you can take classes at either B.S., M.S. or Doctorate levels and earn
  29. degrees in fields such as Starship Operations, Engineering, Medical, and even
  30. Security.

  32. I highly reccomend Third Fleet for those of you who enjoy writing Star Trek
  33. type of missions and enjoy sharing them with others.  There are dues which are
  34. required yearly but they are quite reasonable.  Remember please, that this is
  35. not run by e-mail in any way, but by the U.S. Postal Service.
