  21. {of the Enterprise crew? Yes, they do have minorities but the crew
  22. {is predominantly white and the earth is not.  This inquiry extends to the
  23. {alien/Caucasian distribution of the Enterprise universe.  We realize
  24. {that attempts have been made to introduce non-cauc type life forms to the
  25. {idealistic make up of the universe but these are few and far between.

  27. Not only is this a problem, but also if inter-cultural/racial marriages are 
  28. so bloody common (O'Brian/Keiko for example, not to mention inter-species 
  29. marriages) then there would be no more colors!  People after 4 or 5 
  30. centuries of intermarrying would incorporate all distinguishing racial 
  31. features until all people looked the same, because they would all have 
  32. ancestors from all colors and cultures.

  34. However, the answer to your question is glaringly obvious:  It's a show, 
  35. and if the producers tried to "get the balance perfect" or whatever, nobody 
  36. would watch it.  Humans are still incredibly racist, I'm sure you can look 
  37. around even Illinois and see evidence of this. :)
