- I use shoe boxes. I cut the sides of the box down to to about the height
- of a spool of thread laying on its side, and keep the thread spools in the
- boxes. I keep the spools on their sides so I can see the color. Thus modified,
- the shoe boxes are fairly flat and fairly sturdy, so I can stack them
- on top of each other on a shelf.
