- My father made me a board for Christmas. He has made it so that it will
- hang on the wall, and has also attached a clothes hanger to it so I can
- hang it in the closet if I prefer.
- The problem with pegboard is that the holes are straight in, at 90 degree
- angles. If you put dowel in them, sometimes the dowel with angle downwards
- and your spool will fall off. What he did was drill each hole at about a 5
- degree angle upwards (or downwards depending on your point of view) and he
- made it out of wood instead of the paper that pegboard is made of. It
- should hold up quite well.
- Of course, as he put it, he spent $5 on wood, and $75 on tools (a device
- that allows him to drill at precise angles). But I know my dad...he really
- wanted that tool, and was just looking for an excuse to buy it! :-)
