  29. telephone call with this hard-metallic voice claiming to be a computer
  30. called SPECTRE. I then--as you put it--"seemed compelled" to cross-post it
  31. to sci.physics. By the way, SPECTRE seemed really pissed that you were
  32. apparently afraid that these revelations might sully your reputation as a
  33. serious physicist. I assured it, of course, that this thought had never
  34. entered your mind.

  39. SPECTRA (not SPECTRE) is the term used by Andrija Puharich in URI for the
  40. alleged AI intelligence from a space-ship. "The Nine" is also used and it
  41. played a significant role in the shennangans at Esalen with the Soviets in
  42. late 70's.  I have never claimed that what happened to me in 1952 was what
  43. it said it was. But I have truthfully described the facts of the
  44. experience.
