  23. Leonid, he's got a point. Cronos wasn't always really good. I wouldn't say they
  24. had no clue what to do with their instruments at all, but they weren't the
  25. best of the bunch either. Compare to Dave Murray or Kevin Heybourne on guitar,
  26. Stef Prockopczuk (Gaskin) and Chris Troy (Praying Mantis) on bass or Clive
  27. Burr (then with Praying Mantis), Thunderstick and Dave Hogg on drums. The
  28. vocals of that sort were probably the best of the lot, though, in my opinion,
  29. when you compare to Motorhead or Tank, but that's probably because Lant 
  30. doesn't smoke as much as Lemmy does.

  32. Anyway, Venom has improved greatly since their first single as far as
  33. musicianship. Unfortunately, their compositions are missing some of the
  34. energy that they used to have. I like their new stuff, but something about
  35. the old stuff seems to keep the albums in my CD changer a bit more often.
