- When I'm as objective as I can, I think that most bands/authors mentioned in
- this group won't endure. 99% of progressive music is interesting just for
- the moment being. I just can't imagine that there's anyone listening to Yes,
- Jethro Tull, Marillion, Genesis (the *old*-Genesis, the newer albums will
- not even survive next year!)etc. etc. I mean, what really NEW stuff did they
- bring to music? Do these band really stand in the history of popular music?
- I can't even imagine the Beatles surviving this century. I think that the
- Stones are/were far more inventive regarding pop-history.

- The only one I'm absolutely sure of to survive (well, not in person ;-) ) is
- Frank Zappa and his music.

- All this doesn't mean that I don't like progressive music, I just think that
- within a hundred years, with all the knowledge, experiences etc. of mankind,
- people just won't listen to what we call progressive music anymore.
