- Now we're talking lectric though....the cheaters... I do some of that
- too of course, but my best buddy is Fred... my double bass that is...
- Orville (my Rick) is fun to play with too, but he don't do da blues like
- Fred do... or the Beethoven, Bruckner, or Brahms for that matter.

- You bring to mind a neat schtick a drummer and I used to do on occaision
- when I played at Baylor. I'd turn my bass around and he'd strike out
- intricate rhythms across chords I'd finger with two hands for a really
- wild sound. Of course, we're the same ones that thought running a
- trumpet through two in series, out of phase phase shifters so that it
- sounded like he was playing under water sounded great too...
