  11. The subject sums it up: the jam session for filkers (located in Ottawa)
  12. is still on.

  14. When: 17th January, from 1:30 to 5:00 pm.
  15. Where: Dalhousie Community Centre, 755 Somerset Av., Ottawa
  16.   (that's just east of Booth and a few blocks west of Bronson; any bus
  17.    on the Transitway to Lebreton station and walk up Booth St., or the
  18.    #2 bus right to the door; parking available).
  19. Who: anyone who enjoys filk (or just singing!) from the Ottawa area,
  20.   plus anyone who can come from out of town (especially Montreal or
  21.   Toronto).  [N.B. ConSanity has been cancelled, so any filking plans
  22.   associated with it are scratched too.]

  24. It has been suggested that anyone who has favorite songs that he/she
  25. would like to have sung should bring many copies of the words (unless,
  26. of course, it's a "well-known" piece).  Many filkers don't read music -
  27. yet.
  28. If you have songbooks, musical instruments (not just guitars), etc.,
  29. please bring them;  'twill be muchly appreciated.
