  12. Hello to all! I have survived finals (much to my surprise) and
  13. am geering up for Arisia.  A few late breaking developments
  14. warrant my posting this final update.
  15.  
  16. Filk schedule for Arisia:
  17. General Filking: we have at least two rooms for general filking,
  18. Cambridge and Beacon Hill. (The same as last year for those
  19. familiar with the con.)  Filking will start at 10 p.m. and
  20. continue until whenever.  The programing people promise to
  21. have the rooms arranged in a circle and to have water for
  22. us.

  24. Concerts: This is the current concert schedule, based on
  25. all the information currently available.  Subject to change
  26. (see below)
  27.  
  28. Friday: 5:30-6:30 Stanboro. Cynthia McQuillon and Dr Jane Robinson
  29. will perform from 5:30-6 p.m.  Jack Carrol (local filker/folk singer.
  30. Very good voice and guitar work) will perform from 6-6:30 p.m.
  31. (Don't worry, Cynthia and Jane will perform again later in the
  32. con.)
  33.  
  34. Saturday: Nothing at the moment.  I am TRYING to get an hour
  35. slot, which will feature Critical Mass, Rennie Levine, and
  36. 2 singers Spence has told me about but I can't remember their
  37. names.
  38.  
  39. Sunday: Major concert in the Ballroom from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
  40. T.J. Burnside-Clapp (with Mitchel, if he comes) 12-12:45

  45. One-Shots: the one shots will be in the Constitution Room
  46. from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday.

  48. *Special Programing*
  49. Story-telling:  The Most Worshipful Company of Story Tellers of
  50. Carolingia (local SCA story-teller's guild) will hold their
  51. monthly meeting on Friday.  Room has not yet been determined.
  52. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. and will probably run 'til people
  53. run out of stories (guild meetings usually end about 11 p.m.)
  54. Business will be kept to a minimum (read, almost none and
  55. all conducted in the first five minutes).  The story-teller's
  56. guild promotes the art of story-telling in an SCA context, but
  57. this is not rgidly enforced.  The guild also provides feedback
  58. and instruction for them that wish.  Heckling permitted, but
  59. the First Speaker (guildmaster) will squelch it if it rages
  60. out of control or for any other reason he feels like. Come if
  61. you like story-telling, or are curoius about story-telling or
  62. the SCA.

  64. Voice Warm-Up- Liz Zitrow will conduct a warm-up session
  65. at 9 p.m. on Friday night for people who want to know how
  66. to preserve their voices for all-night Filk. Constitution room.
  67.  
  68. Regular Filk Programing- All filk programs are in the
  69. Constitution Room.  Unless stated otherwise, panels last one hour.

  98. Arisia is a multi-media SF/F Con held at the PArk Plaza Hotel in Boston,
  99. MA on January 15-17 (MLK Day Weekend).  Registration is $40 at the door
  100. (it is too late to do pre-reg).  Make checks payable to Arisia, Inc.
