- Goin' up Cripple Creek to see my girl
-
-
- Cripple Creek girl just about half grown
- Jump on a boy like a dog on a bone
- Roll my britches up to my knees
- Wade ol' Cripple Creek whenever I please
-
- Cripple Creek's wide and Cripple Creek's deep
- wade ol' Cripple Creek before I sleep
- Hills are high and the roads are muddy
- An' I'm so drunk that I can't stand steady
-
- This one uses two new moves: the -slide- and the -false pulloff-.
- Don't be alarmed at them. They are NOT that hard! The false pulloff
- (and false hammer-on) are two of the real secrets of good banjo
- playing...your -left- hand is actually playing part of the melody
- -independently- of the striking of the right hand.
-
- I am not sure of the measures in this one...let me know of any
- obvious errors!
