  12. Last Thursday I wrote a letter to MTV (well, specifically, Kennedy) to
  13. give them my comments about Alternative Nation, their new "alternative"
  14. show (weeknights at 12:30am).

  16. Anyway, I said that I was glad to see MTV doing this, but I wish that
  17. they would show some older, more "alternative" videos, instead of The
  18. Cure, NIN, Ministry, etc. that currently hog up the hour.

  20. Well, today (12/22) I received a call from the music director of the
  21. show.  He thanked me for writing, etc etc...  He said that he too would
  22. like to see more of the type of stuff that I had requested, and that
  23. he'd work with management to see if he could.  He hinted that their plan
  24. is to lure in viewers by showing the more popular side of alternative
  25. right now, and then slowly move in with more obscure stuff.

  27. I also said that Kennedy's theme song should be "Kennedy" by The Wedding
  28. Present.  He said that she was pretty excited about having such a theme
  29. song.  I think she loves me.  Heh heh.

  31. Anyway, here's the address to write to that show.  If everyone would
  32. flood them with "like" letters, I think that MTV would cave in and start
  33. showing more Negativland and less Depeche Mode during that show.
