- In answer to previous questions, you cannot be in ROTC past the end of
- the second year without U.S. citizenship. To be an officer, or an advanced
- cadet, you gotta be a citizen.
- This group was originally chartered to have discussions on the
- different commissioning programs of the worlds armed forces with a particular
- emphasis on the ROTC programs in the U.S. It has since branched out to
- include dicussions of military matters by (mostly) military people. There are
- quite a few cadets or midshipmen on, fewer officers (mostly new commissionees)
- and a few EM's and NCO's. I sent the "empty" message because all of the cadets
- are on break. I am heading out myself on 4 Jan 93 for a tech school. I am
- gonna try to stay active and answer questions, but I think it is going to be a
- losing battle.
