- Or did you mean for going on Ex at Meaford? I've been commissioned
- two and a half months now, and I've never put on my combats (though I
- have started breaking in the boots). I've washed my combats about
- eight times, though, so that when I'm on ex everyone will think I'm a
- long-time veteran. Think I'll fool anyone?

-
- We had our Regimental All Ranks Christmas Party just the other day.
- The Other Ranks (and the Colonel) get to sit through dinner, while the
- officers serve and the NCO's and warrants clear the dishes. "Yo, sir,
- more coffee over here!"
-
- It also gives us an opportunity to see some of our fine looking young
- female troopies all scrubbed and clean, and curse the fact that
- they're as off-limits as the Colonel's daughter.
