Ever salute an enlisted man? Myself as a mere E-4 get saluted in general
about once a week. I'm an enlisted aircrewman so if I am in my flightsuit
there is no telling me from an officer except by looking at my name tag which
is 4x2 and trying to read my rank or by looking at my ballcap which has the
insignia of a Third Class Petty Officer(which I am). But I am also on a
semi training base so we get new people straight out of basic or tech school
to go through platform training all the time and they salute the flightsuit
more than the rank. They dont realize I am enlisted. Ahh the life...(not that
I would ever return a salute mind you).
