- Apart from the fingering, try pulling your thumb lower on the neck, so that
- you have more hand to arch over the fretboard. This will prevent damping
- the open strings. And don't go to the F-moved-up-two-frets version of G.
- The open strings G has a charm of its own, esp. for folksy songs.
