- A few other ramblings about alternate tunings. First the timbre of a
- chord (or individual note for that matter) is radicaly different alowing
- the guitarist a wider array of tonal possibilities. I myself like to
- tune down two steps on each string to a "c standard". of course I would
- recommend a jazz guage string if you do this. Second by sliping out of
- the standard interval between each string you can break out of habits
- and get a "fuck never thought of that before" effect and go back to
- standard and play the same chord. However, the timber is rarely even
- close to the alternate tuning.
