- I bungee my Kramer Pacer strat copy (about a $1K guitar including the EMG
- active pickups, original Floyd Rose whammy bar system, and extra on-board
- electronics) onto the back of my Harley (in a soft-shell gig-bag case) and
- regularly take it the 150 miles between my Dallas apartment and my hometown
- of Wichita Falls TX with no ill results. Of course my bike has a tall padded
- backrest to help support the neck of the guitar too. I've made dozens of these
- trips and usually the guitar is even still in tune after the ride. I figure
- since I have all three of my prized possesions with me (my axe, my scoot, and
- myself... not necessarily in that order) if I go down and crash on the highway,
- the whole package is doomed anyway so what the hell? With all my gear tied
- onto the bike, it sure is an attention getter.
- Now if I could only find room to bungee my Marshall onto the luggage rack.....
