- The phone book. For a good luthier. Gibson necks are glued on (except on
- the Marauder, no longer in production). Replacing a neck on a Gibson-style
- electric is one of the more difficult jobs in the guitar repair business.

- If your friend wants a Gibson neck have him buy a Gibson guitar. You could
- put in any pennies you were intending to spend on a new neck (usually $100-200)
- and help him defray some of the cost.
