  12. Great News!  The heartless bastards at the company I've been
  13. contracting for just decided that they don't need me (and a few
  14. others) anymore, so they cancelled my 1 year contract only 3 months
  15. into the deal.

  17. I've got no severance pay, no money in the bank and a 4 month old
  18. daughter to feed and clothe.  Since I've got no money, I'll probably
  19. lose my house shortly after I miss next month's mortgage payment.

  21. I love getting laid off exactly one week before Christmas.  I can see
  22. their point, though: To hell with the people, the shareholders must
  23. get their dividends!  Makes sense, right?

  25. BTW, I am a good Christian, so this is probably God's way of telling
  26. me that I should kill myself so my wife and kid can get the insurance
  27. money.
