  22. Sorry, but "der Mensch" means simply "the human" or "the person",
  23. regardless of that person's sex.

  25. You may of course say that the German language is sexist, since it
  26. assigns the masculine gender to _all_ human beings by default, as it
  27. were.

  29. On the other hand, the Swedish word for 'human', 'M"anniska', always
  30. takes the feminine pronoun.
