- How about other weird stolen objects?
-
- In the summer of '78, my friend Eric and I were the sole
- employees of a bicycle shop in Oakland, CA. The place
- did not have a functioning toilet, and after a while,
- the nearby restaurant owner got really tired of us.
-
- Somehow, we got the bright idea of peeing into our
- empty milk cartons, though disposing of them was a
- precarious matter. One evening, Eric put his pee-filled
- milk carton on the sidewalk just outside the front door.
- When we got to work the next day, it was gone.
-
- We continued this practice on an almost daily basis
- for the rest of the summer, and without fail the tainted
- cartons would disappear. We never did figure out who
- took them or why.
