- This is not uncommmon for studies. The only reliable statistics available are
- from the relatively older private polling companies. And that's because they
- have real statisticians doing the work, most studies rely on the researcher's
- statistical ability. Having taken the min. stats courses required by most
- disciplines, errors in studies are not uncommon and that's why the final step
- in a study is not notify the press, but publish the results and answer the
- questions that are brought up.

-
- No, only the average (I repeat, average) yearly salary is compared. But
- luckily, there have been other studies down by internal company standards that
- have been properly 'weighted', which do show that women are consistently paid
- lower. Details below.

-
- The City of Colorado supposedly did this, and with the help of a professional
- statistician, they were able to determine there was pay inequity and in fact,
- came up with a standard way of assigning what are fair wages. The factors
- compares were amount of education (I think quality of education was also
- factored in), hours spent at the jobs, physical conditions, etc.

- Curiously, you haven't gotten any public ones.
