  26. Yup.  I got a chance to see the original deed covenants covering the land my
  27. parents house is on when they paid off their mortgage.  Their subdivision was
  28. constructed in 1948 - 1949, and the covenants attached to their deed state 
  29. that by purchasing their house they agree not to resell to "Negroes, Jews,
  30. or members of the Roman Catholic faith".
