  16. Haven't read TMP, but all US $1 currency (and other denominations)
  17. has a letter and numbers sprinkled around the front side as an
  18. alleged deterrent to counterfeiters (real successful, since we all know
  19. about it).  Example above:  "k" is the 11th letter in the alphabet. The
  20. only remaining money in my wallet is a dollar bill with "F" and "6."

  22. I've heard this for years and have found no counter-example.  The
  23. Numbers/letters may or may not correspond to particular regional Federal
  24. Reserve Banks.  I bet the Fed or the Treasury Dept. would explain if
  25. anyone cared enough to call.
