  20. I grep'ed for a smiley and didn't find one, so i can only assume
  21. this is serious. Sheesh! It's "El" like the second poster said,
  22. and it's "Loop", not "Loupe"; there are numerous road signs that
  23. say so.

  25. ObFact: When i was a wee bit younger there used to be a sign on
  26. the south side of the Art Institute (that's in the Loop, for
  27. those of you who don't know) that said, with typical Illinois
  28. eloquence: "Route 66 began here." The sign is gone, i presume
  29. because of repeated theft.
