- I grep'ed for a smiley and didn't find one, so i can only assume
- this is serious. Sheesh! It's "El" like the second poster said,
- and it's "Loop", not "Loupe"; there are numerous road signs that
- say so.

- ObFact: When i was a wee bit younger there used to be a sign on
- the south side of the Art Institute (that's in the Loop, for
- those of you who don't know) that said, with typical Illinois
- eloquence: "Route 66 began here." The sign is gone, i presume
- because of repeated theft.
