  11. I don't know if this qualifies as true urban folklore, but an amusing
  12. incident that occurred *while I myself was present* follows ...
  13.  
  14. I was finishing my sandwiches at my desk one lunchtime at the Thorn EMI
  15. factory in Feltham, West London, UK. The girl from the cash office rushed
  16. past me sobbing hysterically about groaning coming from the *locked* 
  17. cupboard behind where she sat.

  19. I ignored her because A) I didn't believe her, B) I couldn't really 
  20. understand what was going on, and C) she rushed on past at a fair speed.
  21. This is a shame because I missed out on some exitement.

  23. When the cupboard was opened, they found an electrician crumpled in a heap
  24. on the floor. He'd been working in an *unlocked* cupboard on the floor
  25. above, and the floor had given way beneath him (it wasn't really meant to
  26. take any weight.)

  28. The poor guy was taken off in a stretcher, and I'm sure he survived to 
  29. tell the tale.
