- To correct a few things in this thread...

- 1) Bubbling Acetylene gas in AgNO3 soln. will yield Silver Acetylide. Go look
- it up in the 'rubber bible' for more info.

- 2) Mercury fulminate is not used in caps for toy cap guns (posionous residue).
- Toy caps use a stabilized version of 'Armstrong's mixture'. I will not post
- the details, head for your library. Anyone compounding 'Armstrong's mixture'
- in any quantity than a few miligrams is begging for serious injury or
- death.

- 3) Fulminates are seldom used in commercial blasting caps anymore- more
- stable compounds have been developed.

- while wet... this is nasty, unstable stuff.
