  12. My brother and I have a running dispute over the inventor of the 
  13. bar-code scanner system used for inventory control in supermarkets, etc.
  14. He ( a Drexel Alum ) claims it was solely invented by a Drexel Prof
  15. at Drexel University ( in Philadelphia, PA ). I , however, recall
  16. reading an article about one of the co-inventors either attending the
  17. University of Maryland as a student or as a prof (I am a Maryland alumus).
  18. Can someone settle this dispute for us?
