- Your points are all very good and are well taken. All that is left is
- the interpretation. Suppose we summarize it this way:

- Violence is news -- it is interesting, it sells books, and plays, and
- movies.

- Normal violence is male/male. People may go to jail as a result, or
- die, or be crippled for life, but it's normal. It doesn't require any
- special comment.

- Male/female violence is perverted. It's abnormal and sick. Domestic
- male/female violence is really perverted.

- Female/male violence is amusing. It is something to joke about, but
- it isn't real.
