  23. Who is "we", Muffy?  Violence against women is *my* problem, not because I
  24. share biological structures with a portion of perps, but it touches the lives
  25. of a great many women whose well-being is important to me.  Violence against
  26. men is *my* problem because I am a target of it and because it touches the
  27. lives of a great many men whose well-being is important to me.  Thus, I work on
  28. both.  Thus I have cause to discuss both.  If violence against men isn't *your*
  29. problem for the same reason that violence against men is *my* problem, why
  30. isn't it?

  32. Why is it that every time someone brings up violence against men, here or
  33. elsewhere, some feminists start shouting about violence against women, and how
  34. dare we focus on men's problems?

  36. Personally, I think I have enough time to deal with both.  If you can only deal
  37. with one, don't be surprised if a bunch of people decide that they only have
  38. time for their problem and to hell with you and yours.  This does not seem an
  39. effective tactic.
