  11. I thought some of you might be interested in the following:

  13. When I was in New York last May I spent some time at the Museum of
  14. Television and Radio. As those of you that have been there know, 
  15. they have a very user-friendly online search system set up where
  16. you can sit at a terminal and find out what they have that 
  17. interests you, then you request a number of shows, and go watch
  18. them at your own video monitor.

  20. I did a search for "Letterman, David" and this is what I found:

  23. July 29,1982 - LNWDL - Andy Kaufman & wrestler 
  24. May 21,1981 - Daytime Emmys - Dave's morning show wins, clip from show
  25. 1981 - HBO Special - "David Letterman - Looking for Fun"
  26. Feb.12,1982 - LNWDL - Bob & Ray, ...
  27. Feb.26,1979 - $20,000 Pyramid - Dave is "Celebrity" guest
  28. Mar.30,1986 - Comic Releif 4 - Camping Video with Dave, Paul & Chris Elliot

  31. They also had a number of episodes in archive that I didn't write down.
  32. Archive shows are stored off-site and have to be requested several days
  33. in advance.

  35. I found it interesting to see what shows were considered to be 
  36. Museum-Worthy. Sometimes when the show is going badly, Dave will
  37. say "Call the Museum of Broadcasting, we want this one to go right
  38. into the archives". And indeed, some of his shows are there.
