- I think I've solved NBC's problem if Dave leaves to go to
- CBS. I, like many other writers, am concerned that we'll
- lose access to Meg once she's no longer a zoom lens away from
- LNWDL; therefore, NBC, realizing Meg's popularity should
- make her the host of the successor show to LNWDL. She could
- run it from her desk over at Pocket Books and have the band
- and the guests and some Ed McMahon/Regis Philbin/etc. flunky
- on the set.
-
- Actually they could keep running the show with total pandemonium
- kinda' like now with people wandering in and actually staying awhile
- sort of like drop in hosts (time for the Live at Five people to
- retaliate; give Tony Randall the chance to actually appear on the
- show after all those lame attempts to be invited as a guest,
- have Larry Bud night, etc.)
-
- We'll just pretend Dave's on vacation for a real long time....
- Yeah, that's the ticket!
