- If they are like the other machines AT&T has offered in the past, then they
- are probably overpriced. The NeXT is a killer machine, too, but nobody
- wants to buy them (in any great number, anyway) because they're expensive
- and the average PC user doesn't really want want or need what it has
- to offer.
-
- Likewise, ALBEDO doesn't offer what the general comic book reader is
- looking for. This is not a criticism; if anything, it is a point in
- its favor. But if someone does not want to produce a book that the
- comic-buying public wants, then that person should not get upset when
- the comic-buying public does not buy their book.

-
- You ought to read Dave Sim's editorial in CEREBUS #162--you're starting to
- sound like Gary Groth. If all you are interested in is selling lots and
- lots of comic books, then the cold, hard truth is that your book will
- probably have to have superheroes in it. If it doesn't, then it better
- have one hell of a good story, and good art to back it up probably wouldn't
- hurt.
-
- Is that the case with ALBEDO? I'm afraid not. I've known Steve
- Gallacci for about 10 years. He's a good fellow, and puts a lot of effort
- into ALBEBO, a book that I read and occasionally enjoy. But it is a book
- that has limited appeal outside a small group of comics fans. And at this
- point I don't think there's much anyone can do about that without making
- some major changes to the book.
