- The government does keep tabs on the activities of groups like NORML and
- the Freedom Fighters. Federal, State and local -- and it is difficult
- to know how extensive it is.
-
- Simply by joining NORML, and sending them money, you are not at any
- risk of having the government keep a closer eye on you -- the security
- of NORML's mailing list is good, and the governments are too busy to pay
- attention to simply members.
-
- What is important is to realize that once you have decided to live in fear
- of your government, you have already decided to let fascism rule your
- life. I speak all over the country. I have been a member of NORML for
- many years, many years. The government has NEVER harassed me.
-
- You should write letters to the editor and to your Members of Congress.
- If you are too intimidated to do that, you have let the government win
- control over you.
-
- Freedom is not a state or condition. It is a process that is maintained
- when it is USED by the citizens. If you are not politically active,
- you are undermining freedom -- you are wasting it. Of course the
- government should know who you are. You own it. They work for you.
- Living in fear is what totalitarians want of you. Why live down to
- their expectations?
