  12.     As far as all of this goes, lets venture into hypothetical-land.

  14.     IF as muffavore and supporters believe, psychedelics, if used, would
  15. merely lead to a "replacement habit" (I refuse to use the word addiction in
  16. conjunction with LSD or MDMA) and as such, does not remove a habit, but merely
  17. replaces the chemical used as part of the habit, then I would STILL be all
  18. for its use because of one simple point:

  20.     Alcohol is a depressant.  It triggers behavior patterns that can lead
  21. to negativity and sometimes even violence.  It severely impairs rection and
  22. rationality, and inhibits functional communication in large doses.

  24.     LSD is a psychedelic.  MDMA is an entactogen.  Both trigger bahavior
  25. patterns that can lead to self-imprinting and sometimes even what would be
  26. called "enlightenment".  The latter stages of acid trips and (though i have not
  27. used MDMA yet) from what i have heard ALL of an X trip lead to a state of mental
  28. peace and a desire for peace, love, and free communication.  They both have a
  29. stimulant effect to some extent, which increases reaction (though driving 
  30. while tripping is still stupid as you may just react to a hallucination or
  31. stop paying attention to what you are doing entirely at higher doses) and
  32. acid does tend to impair attention-spans.

  34.     Alcohol can have its uses: the relaxatin of inhibitions can do won-
  35. ders for overcoming artistic "blocks" (ie, writers block, etc)  Unfortunately,
  36. so can LSD ( I don't know about MDMA), making that not a unique validation.

  39.     Tripping: the universe ceases to exist behind you until you remember
  40. that it was there and look there.  Man, that was wierd.  You ever wonder if
  41. ... shit your face did something really wierd.  Your teeth look big.  It's
  42. like, astral space.  Neat. Quiet or those guys will know were tripping.
