  31. Adding grist to the rumor mill, I have heard from various sources that 
  32. Syd is indeed an acid casualty, and having recently acquired the cd 
  33. " Barrett ", Capitol, 1990, I have to say that I firmly believe it to be
  34. true. You just have to listen to the cd closely to confirm it. It's so
  35. completely nonsensical. The lyrics are obviously the product of a VERY
  36. permamently psychodelicized individual. Furthermore, it sounds just like
  37. the products PF put out while he was a member. I am mildly amused to find that 
  38. David Gilmour (who replaced Syd as guitarist/vocalist) and Nick Wright co-
  39. produced and played on this cd. I can only surmise that the guys still keep in 
  40. touch with Syd, for whatever reason, so he's obviously not a complete basket-
  41. case. However that may be, one good listen to this cd is all it takes to
  42. realize that old Syd is not really ever going to recover.
