- That's how *you* take it. LSD is not toxic, but its effects can be very
- frightening, or lead to dangerous behaviour. Both of those can cause death,
- and are more likely to in the presence of alcohol, by the mechanisms described
- in my last post (and others, no doubt).

- You don't need to be saying LSD is toxic when you say it can cause death. Is a
- parachute toxic? Or a mountain? There are behaviours that increase the
- likelyhood of death, without any direct toxic effects, and it's entirely
- possible that's what the doctor in the case was talking about. The
- commonest example of that situation, of course, is drunk driving...
